Market Force has four offices in North America, and have 3 offices in Europe, including a substantial presence in the U.K. Our team is made up of over 500 people. Currently, we’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Commercial team, working out of our Norcross, GA office.

The sales engineer position supports the Market Force Commercial team in the sales and services of its suite of solutions using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying our products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation. The role will further serve as a liaison between the Commercial team and the Technology team to ensure complete alignment between client needs and expectations and what our technology solutions deliver. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Makes sales contacts, researches customer needs and develops application of products and services.
  • Works with members of the NBS/CS teams to develop and deliver sales presentations
  • Provides technical support in the presentation of technology solutions and closing of sales.
  • Speaks with clients to understand how products and services could be designed or modified to best meet their needs.
  • Works with the Commercial teams, both new business sales and client strategy, to provide technical support in the execution of client requests, including demos and technology scoping exercises.
  • Participates in development of new products, modification of existing products and termination of ineffective products.
  • Manages technical aspects of committees and working groups.
  • Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • 5 years of field sales experience or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of software development and deployment.
  • Advanced training in sales skills.
  • Familiarity with and experience in presenting Software as a Sales solutions
  • Proficiency in the use and application of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Understanding of web application programming techniques and languages is preferred but not required.
