We serve over 300 clients globally and are looking for a Sales Director to join a team of new business development professionals here in North America to help us spread the word of how we are delivering customer experience solutions to our clients and produce top line revenue growth. The Sales Director will require a seasoned sales professional who will have responsibility for developing relationships and closing business with operations and marketing decision makers at prospective client companies. Overnight travel will be required for sales presentations and visits to prospective clients. This position requires strategic selling skills, excellent active listening skills as well as a blend of lead generation, prospecting, business acumen and creativity. Also required are strong time management skills and the ability to effectively interface at multiple levels of a client marketing and operations organization, up to and including c-level executives. This is an individual contributor role, not a management position. This position is targeting new business, not managing existing client relationships. It is a hunting role that is highly compensated for evangelizing on behalf of the Market Force brand and suite of solutions to build a sales pipeline, close new clients, produce new business sales bookings and drive top line revenue for the business.

Duties of this position include:

  1. Cold call, prospect and lead generation activity to develop a solid pipeline of sales opportunities in retail, restaurant, financial, and CPG businesses.
  2. Identify and establish contact with decision makers at target organizations as determined by the Sales Director and the Managing Director.
  3. Present and sell customer experience measurement services to potential clients, including customer and employee surveys, mystery shopping and auditing, contact center services, social media monitoring, sophisticated predictive modeling, and technology reporting platforms each year to drive top line revenue growth.
  4. Clearly articulate our compelling value proposition in a client-focused context.
  5. Determine client needs and gauge interest in customer experience solutions.
  6. Data enter pertinent details about sales conversations and the overall sales process in salesforce.com to ensure effective pipeline management conversations with management and accurate revenue forecasting for the business.
  7. Work with team members in Marketing to develop winning sales strategies for potential clients.
  8. Work with other internal colleagues (Operations, Client Services, Finance, et al.) to design profitable programs.
  9. Collaborate internally across multiple departments to manage RFP processes, from resource and information gathering to final proposal document publication.
  10. Effectively communicate our company’s capabilities in formalized presentations on the phone, via webinar, and in person.
  11. Develop an understanding of competitive offerings and pricing in the marketplace.
  12. Develop integrated information services proposals as we acquire new product providers.
  13. Negotiate legal terms and conditions in service agreements that ensure the long-term success new client programs.
  14. Collaborate with Strategic Relationships and Implementations team members to transition new clients into an on-going service relationship
  15. Continually adapt to new product offerings and go to market strategies.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of direct, outside sales experience and a proven track record of selling consultative, complex services to large corporations, including selling into retailers, restaurants, banking organizations, service providers and hospitality brands. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment are also required.

The successful candidate must have closed new business bookings that range from $250k to $1M+; must have regularly produced in excess of $1M in new business bookings per year; must have a track record of exceeding quotas on a quarterly basis; and have a demonstrated track record of “c-suite” relationships

Proficiency in the use and application of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and sales contact software are required. The ability to provide examples of previous compelling PowerPoint presentations will be a plus.
